On Thursday, 21 August 2025, our students swapped their classrooms for roller coasters, history tours, and endless excitement as we embarked on an unforgettable outing to Gold Reef City.
This excursion was more than just a day out – it was an opportunity for our learners to experience South Africa’s rich history and vibrant culture first-hand. From exploring to enjoying thrilling rides and attractions, the day offered a perfect blend of education and entertainment.
Our students had the chance to practise their English outside the classroom as they navigated the park, chatted with staff, and worked together in groups. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they interacted in real-life situations.
But without a doubt, the highlight of the day was the rollercoasters! Our students braved the twists, turns and adrenaline rush of the park’s most famous rides. The screams, laughter and pure joy on their faces said it all – it was an experience they’ll never forget.
These outings are an important part of our programme at English Access Gauteng because they give students the chance to:
- Experience South African culture and history
- Practise English communication skills in real-world settings
- Build friendships and team spirit with classmates
- Make memories that will last long after the course ends
We’re incredibly proud of how our students conducted themselves during the trip and grateful to the staff who helped make the day run so smoothly.
